The man was very helpful with a warm greeting, information, assistance in taking luggage to the room and bringing a soda and ice to the room. An excellent employee for the hotel.

We were exceptionally pleased with our arrival. Even though we arrived before the normal check-in time, they were still able to place us in our rooms, so we could freshen up and rest. They were very gracious and helpful.

We would not hesitate to stay at the Windermere again. All of the staff, from the reception to the waitresses and chef were wonderful. The location was perfect for us, the rooms were immaculate and quiet, and the breakfasts and dinners were wonderful.

This hotel was fabulous for families. They offered rooms set up for families, the dining room was exceptional for families, and the reception people were wonderful with tips and advice whenever we needed it.

We would recommend the Windermere whole heartedly. It was located within walking distance of many attractions, the neighborhood is attractive and quiet, and the hotel itself was exceptionally comfortable. And the other guests we met there were friendly, helpful and seemed to be enjoying their stays as well, too.

A wonderful quaint, very clean and pleasant place to stay. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and would highly recommend it to anyone. The location is great, about 3 blocks from Victoria Station and walking distance to many sights. They had a delicious breakfast and their dinners were great!

The cost in London is very high, so in comparison to other places I feel we got our money's worth.

Very pleasant hotel with a very friendly helpful staff. Restaurant was surprisingly good. Very convenient to Victoria Station, but quiet neighborhood.

The rooms were very nice and very clean. We had a really nice stay. The breakfast was very good and service was efficient. The front desk staff was very helpful. It was a useful tip to know there was a very nice grocery store closeby, Sainsbury.

I think you should include that there is no lift, but this is a minor inconvenience. It was nice to have the grocery store (Sainsbury) close to the hotel especially if you are travelling with children or a large group.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Windermere. The accommodations were lovely and had a homey feel. The best part of our stay was the kind attention we received from all of the staff and the owners who were on site daily. We will look forward to a return visit.

Generally excellent hotel for the location and price. Two minor disappointments were:
1. No heating of any sort in the shower room - it was freezing in there!
2. Very noisy/creaky floorboards in the room

The Receptionist was cold unhelpful,dimissive and abrupt. Her attitude was such my wife later attempted to find how we had obviosly upset her, with nil result. Her attitude continued in the same vein for the rest of our stay. We informed managemnt before leaving. They were taken aback and offered their aplogies.I have excluded her from future responses.

Hotel has very steep and narrow stairs would not reccomend for elderly people.
[porter did carry suit cases up]
other wise every thing was fine , breakfast was very good & bed comfortable. hotel was close to all transport.

We had to leave at 6:30am on our check-out day to catch a train and they were kind enough to have some breakfast for us before we left.

Person checking us out was a bit confused as I was paying for two rooms. He had to rewrite the bill as one, not two.
When asked for restaurants in the area he didn't know of any except for a several blocks away. Then we found one around the corner!

We felt the accomodations were fairly
accurate as photographed, but then you
cannot show the bed quality and proximity to
other rooms in photographs.

the quality of hotel. It is more complete
and includes hot entrees. It would be good
to let guests know there is no lift.
