 The Thanet is located in the middle of stylish Bloomsbury with its Georgian squares where you can sit and watch the world go by. The British Museum is a two minute walk, a wonderful way of spending a day ( although you will probably need a month to do it any justice!). Theatreland is a ten minute walk away which is very useful when you come out of the theatre and taxi are all taken. For shoppers, Oxford Street, Covent Garden and Regent Street again are only a short walk. All the main tourist sights are either a walk or short bus/tube ride. There are numerous restaurants in the local area which accomodate most budgets and tastes. Also Covent Garden is close by with its famous restaurants and night life. |
