The room was nice, but you should really do something about the sound of the elevator! 'Doors closings', doors opening'. It is not necessary to use this voice. It kept us awake through the night when someone used the elevator.People know how an elevator works so just get rid of that voice. Or loose it at least at night!

Negative: 6 pounds addidional for just taking an egg extra (I consider an egg also continental breakfast) is not fair.
You should make a better differnace what you consider continental and english breakfast.

Nice room, apart from the lift, but reception and hall are small. Maybe make that a nice arabian style too? It is a bit 'cheap' now.

The hotel is in flux due to a change in ownership, I believe. Our reservation was missing but the staff was very helpful and polite and eventually tracked our reservation down and all was well.

The rooms were quite small but beautifully appointed. There were a few small glitches but the staff were very accommodating in all instances.

Everyone was checking out and trying to store their baggage at the same time. The staff was courteous and helpful and got us all through in a short time.

The restaurant offered an excellent breakfast selection as well as a happy hour in the early evening. The new manager was on-site at all times and was very helpful! I plan to stay here on my next trip to London.

Room was small (as is usual in Central London) but was surprisingly well and tastefully furnished, clean, and had everything you could need. This even extended to a microwave cooker, complimentary mouthwash,and shoe cleaning pads (not just the usual poor quality soap and shampoo.!!) In addition,guests asking for extra towels/toilet rolls etc. did not seem to be a major chore or problem to the helpful and pleasant staff.
I'd stay there again.

Very Good. Worth the money, and the atittude of the staff was a very pleasant change to that exhibited in some other establishments.

We did arrive before check in time and the manager happened to be in the lobby. Realizing how tired we were she went out of her way to try to get us into a room. It did not work but she made sure our luggage was stored and gave us some helpful suggestions.

Every morning we were greeted in the restaurant by a very friendly staff. They made sure we were seated and served very quickly.

Fresh flowers and English shortbread in the room.
Fresh fruit available in the lobby.

A very nice place to stay. Staff pleasnat and helpful. Great location near a tube which gets you to anyplace in the city.

very rude front staff. Was made to change rooms the 2nd night of our stay. Two people had to sleep in a single. one on the floor. Willnever stay there again.

Was not in the part of town I thought it was in. room was very small both rooms. The single room is not for two people.

Lift was broke. We had to carry our suitcases up two flights of stairs to the service lift. No one was there to help us.
