A cheap and clean little hotel close to Paddington, Hyde Park and city centre. Friendly young staff. At least our room (nr 4, ground floor)was spacious.

Very accomodating and helpful. ... Great value and location, well maintained and clean. ... Very convenient location in safe, easily accessible neighborhood. Good for families. Quiet side street with no traffic noise. ... As above, but include highly recommended. Upon checkout, I took several business cards and will pass them out to friends that have upcoming trips to London. When I return to London, I will definitely stay at the Piccolino again- I really enjoyed the location and the value for the price.

In every hotel where I've been, all over the world, the deadline for breakfast (say from 8 to 9 o'clock)was intended in the sense that you could sit at your table starting from 9 a.m. less one minute. At the Piccolino they mean that you must finish eating before 9. That means your effective time for breakfast is 8-8.30 ... Make it more clear that the closest station is Paddington. ... A good combination of comfort, central position, very close to buses and underground, many restaurants nearby. The price is a bit high for continental standards, but we had been advised that U.K. and London in particular is expensive compared to other E.U. Counry.

The front desk manager was very helpful and pleasant, allowing me to use his own personal computer when I needed to update my credit card details. I was impressed and grateful. ... The only disappointing thing about the room was that the television didn't really work very well - we could only get one channel which was annoying, and even that one was very fuzzy. The rooms are small but clean and nicely decorated, I thought it was great for the price. My two young sons liked it too. ... The owners have some kind of arrangement with a local taxi company - NOT the black cabs. I repeatedly asked them to call me a black cab and they said they would, but what turned up was a minivan. This happened twice, and I was overcharged for the first trip by about five pounds, which was really annoying. Although the cab driver who took us to the Heathrow was very nice and charged me the proper amount for the trip, the fact that I had insisted on a black cab and didn't get one was really very cheeky. I would suggest to the Piccolino that they refrain from trying to trick their clientele. ... Excellent value for money, perfectly clean and decent accommodation, very close to Hyde Park and within walking distance to Marble Arch, restaurants, the Underground and shopping. Pleasant staff but breakfast comparatively poor.

We arrived about 40 minutes past midnight and had some difficulty waking the manager! Considering the hour he was helpful and understanding. ... Good breakfast! ... Very basic but clean and friendly. Good value for London. Good location for Hyde Park and Paddington Station.

One thing that is a definite plus is that they let you keep your luggage there, safe in the office, after checking out to enjoy the rest of the day before your departure. This is a definite plus that should be on the website. The pictures of the rooms on the website also don't give them justice. The high ceilings are lovely and make the rooms that much nicer! ... Piccolino has it all in London: great location, great price, lovely rooms, helpful staff, and a fantastic breakfast. We were thoroughly pleased. It's a really nice place to come 'home' to when you're on vacation.

The reception person immediately directed us to the Big Bus Tour conveniently located just down the street.
... probably slightly smaller room size than expected. One person working there could barely function in English but she got assistance from another employee. ... walking directions from Paddington station. ... Good location in a very pleasant neighbourhood and very good value especially in London.

The only difficulty was the steep stairs and our room being at the top of the hotel with heavy bags. However the person on reception was more than helpful. ... The window did not work properly and we were a little dismayed by the standard of the beds, with springs poking through the mattress. ... Lack of elevator, steep and narrow stairs. ... Fairly good value for a hotel in London and adequate for a one night stay, given proximity to Paddington Station and Heathrow shuttle

The breakfast time is really early. In my opinion 8:30 is too early for people that are on vacation and don't mind sleeping in after long evenings. While this did not bother us (we didn't mind skipping breakfast) others might be more bothered by it. So i do think your website should mention this at least. ... A nice and quiet hotel with an ideal location. Perfect if you are looking for not much more but a good bed, quiet private space and a good location in the city center.

The hotel was clean, but the beds did not have top sheets. Therefore, we had to sleep under a comforter that had not been recently washed.

While we were not expecting a large, American-style hotel room, we were dismayed that the quadruple was actually a double or maybe a triple with extra beds put in. There was no room for our bags or even to walk! But it was clean, the bathroom and balcony were very nice. ... Lovely for a couple, just don't try it with more than that! Good continental breakfast, especially if you are lucky enough to have the one room with a balcony. Well-tended property in a convenient and pleasant location.

we were in quadruple room, very small. The two single bed were very unconfortable. The room was close to the entrance, so not quiet. However the room was clean and the breakfast was good. My comment is positive considering the low price. ... you have to finish to have breakfast before 9:00. You need the key to enter in night. This could be a limit when more than one person has only one key. ... cheap and clean and very close to the centre, but not so confortable

We were given a room that was 'larger' than the double we had booked. Having said that, however, I must say that the room was quite small and I can't imagine being in a smaller room. The room was very clean and was comfortable, other than its size. The lat flight of stairs up to the third floor was very steep, very narrow and had no handrails. The extremely nice young man who checked us is in offered to carry bags up to our room and, had I known how steep the last flight of stairs was, I would have let him. The room would have been uncomfortably warm if we had been there during a hot spell. ... It was basic accomodation. It was clean and the staff was nice. The hotel is very well located with Piccadilly Station and Hyde Park being as close as they are. It was okay for our one night stay between flights but I wouldn't stay there if I was going to be in London for longer than a couple of nights.

When we arrived there were two girls sitting out on the stairs. One of them unlocked ,and we told that we had booked. She gave us the keys and told us that the owner would show up another day. ... We felt that the staff gave no impression of being willing to be friendly or to speak with us tourists. For example it was said that breakfast was to be served from 7.30 - 9 am. But the first morning ´when we came at 8.30 we were told that breakfast room was full and could we come back half an hour later? So next morning when we came at 8.45 we got told in an unfriendly tone that we needed to understand that breakfast was best served before 8.30....it was too late to come at 8.45!!?? ... Checking out was as anonymous as checking in..... ... Fairly good...and with good location.
