The home of Tim and Anne Marten is a semi-detached Victorian family house which has been recently refurbished and redecorated.
The house is situated on a hill and overlooks Telegraph Hill Park, the first landscaped park of its kind in South East London with 100 year-old oaks and other fine trees.

It is now being restored and replanted with the help of the Heritage Lottery Fund and will be even more ravishing when the works are completed.
The French windows from the dining room open on to a mature garden designed and laid out by Tim over twenty years ago.

It has two Magnolia Grandiflora producing white saucer-like flowers from June to November, a catalpa with delicate white flambeaux in July and a 25 foot Bay Tree which serves as support for a Wedding Day climbing Rose also in June/July. There is a patio with table and chairs for sitting out in summer, surrounded by containers holding a wealth of flowers including spring bulbs and lilies.
