Unfortunately, we had some unpleasant experiences with the Mayflower Hotel. When we arrived, the receptionist somehow decided to give us an apartment instead of the two double-rooms we had reserved (we did not realize, because they did not tell us. They kept saying that this one has more space for our baby). The apartment we got was old and not well cleaned (especially the carpet) and did not at all correspond to the photos and the magnificent entrance of the hotel. After we had realized the mistake and went to complain, the hotel manager said that we could no longer get two double-rooms, because we had not complained earlier and they always mentioned that there was no double-room available. We really had the strong feeling of having been fooled! They did not ask our opinion after bringing us to the apartment. So we thought that this was according to our booking. Anyway, after such a long trip, having no lunch, and traveling with a baby, we were so happy to get a room before wondering whether everything was correct. However, after a short argument, somehow it was possible to get two double-rooms, which were much better and corresponded to the pictures in their web. So, our advise, before paying, do look at the rooms and only then move in!
... For the rest of the stay, some of the receptionists and the manager ignored us (and never smile at us), is this normal? Anyway, we could enjoy the lovely interior design, the small garden terrace, the convenient location, the good breakfast, and the very friendly and helpful breakfast team. ... If you travel with a baby and a stroller, remember that the access to some rooms is quite demanding.
... Slightly expensive, absolutely must see interior style. Some rooms in the basement, some close to the Underground (a little noisy at nights). Good breakfast.

advertised as rooftop terrace - a 2'-0' x 6'-0' balcony is not a terrace. ... other than terrace ... Nicely designed compact apartment. Very friendly staff. Good location.

It was wonderful! ... Noise from the tube station was our only complaint. Everything else was superb!

The staff was very accommodating.
I did have to request a hair dryer, and it took a day to get one.
The sofabed was lumpy...satisfactory for a child, but an adult probably wouldn't be happy sleeping on it.
Our apartment was on the street side with a nice balcony. The down-side is that some nights the street was fairly noisy.
We were happily surprised to find out continental breakfast was included with the apartment. ... Clean, attractive room (lobby under construction), convenient to Tube.

staff were helpful and stated we could leave our bags in the hotel for the rest of the day and pick them up when we left which was a lot easier than dragging bags around for the day until it was time to leave. ... The addition of an iron and ironing board would have been helpful. ... Very well decorated room but slighty small.Helpful staff, 2 mins from the earls court tube station.

Over priced. ... Rooms are small and cramped. ... Not bad but can do much better if you shop around.
