Everything went very smoothly. I arrived quite early and so checked in, left my bag at reception, did some shopping and returned later.
My first impressions of the reception decor was a little disapointing but I felt my room more than made up for that. ... As I said above, my first impression was a little disapointing but the room was nice so that made up for it. The breakfast room and breakfast were a little disapointing. Also I felt it was a pitty that some services like ironing were not available on the weekend. However my overall expreience was very positive. ... I feel that any web hotel web sites should show more photos. ... A decent hotel worth giving a try.

The facilities in the room are excellent however the only thing was the heating since the room was not warm enough however we the london guards has still high standard. Keep it Up. ... We really enjoyed our stay at the london guards hotel since it is a very welcoming hotel, staff are very very helpful and gentle, the rooms are fantastic and very cosy. We really liked the tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We surely recommend this hotel and we will consider it again if one day we will come to london again. Regards, From Malta

Easy to use. Quick response. Accurate pricings. Use of photo of outside of hotel useful in locating it. ... Booking by internet, particularly on a last-minute basis, is the way of the future and user friendliness should be the aim. ... Actually, I can't remember seeing a vacation planner nor do I know what it is. ... As above ... None. ... Instructions on finding the place not great. It suggested using a circle line station (to facilitate moving on from the mainline station) but,as I discovered on my last day, Lancaster Gate station on the central line is by far the nearest station. Instructions on getting to hotel from either station not great. ... There was a problem with the door lock on the room but a staff member assisted quickly to show me a push-pull technique of opening it. Not a problem for me but might be for others.
Room was on top floor which didn't facilitate use of the very narrow and 'windy' stairs on the top two floors. Lift was adequate.
Breakfast was continental which suited me but I suspect that others might have wanted the 'English' breakfast included in price.
Receptionist asked upon arrival if I wanted to pay for room. He was extremely polite but I wouldn't encourage payment sight unseen; room was fine though. ... Price was very reasonable and I assume it was a low season deal. The price quoted in the lobby for rooms was substantially dearer. ... Closeness to park (name of which I don't know) ... It worked well for me. Price, location and facilities in regard to hotel were fine. ... Clean, good location, comfortable bed, food OK, good price.

We arrived around noon and had to wait until 3pm for our room to be ready... ... There was an especially kind and helpful desk clerk named Abraham who was always willing to go the extra mile for any of our requests. :) ... It was more of a bed and breakfast styled accomodation than a hotel...

I got a basement room and that was not specified on the voutcher. The room and especially the bed were not perfectly clean. ... The staff was not sure whether the credit card I used for booking online had been already charged or not, although there was a clear message on the voutcher stating that I could pay at check-out (which I did). ... Wonderful location but the hotel is more at a two-star level rather than three.

The breakfast could be better. The bread rolls, for example, were too dry. Perhaps also some wholemeal bread? And not just jam put on your bread - for cheese you had to pay extra. ... It is very quiet, you donīt hear any traffic noise from Bayswater Road. ... A nice, quiet and charming hotel near Hyde Park and West End.

We were quite satisfied with the service at the London Guards Hotel. Everybody was kind and helpful. The beds were perhaps a little too soft, and the floor could have been a trifle cleaner. But the location was very convenient and it was nice and quiet.
