The quadruple was very small for 4 people. The 4.th bed very short and only with a thin mattress.
The street is noisy, but we did not think of requesting a quiet room.
We missed good light for reading at night(i.e. 4 bed lamps with 60 watt bulbs!). When being a tourist you need prepare next day by reading brochures, guides etc.
Staff was friendly, nice breakfast, cleaning of room OK.

The ONLY negative:
We asked when the bus to Stensted Airport went; and he - at the reception - said that there was a time table at the bus stop, which there was not!...and we asked several people at the bus stop at what time the bus went, but no-one knew. In the morning a woman at the hotel told us that they HAD a time table, but then we missed the bus ...

Central, but a bit expensive. But, as I know, it is expensive in central London.

We stayed on 2 occassions on the secong the room was better, the shower and toilet facilties are alittle smelly probably age, but the staff where helpful and very lovely.

Positive the accomodation assisted us by allowing a bag to stay untill we the next visit so we didnt need to accry onwards to Italy.

Close to major shopping, underground, quiet , comfortable, freindly and helpful staff.

There were no directions from Stanstead and what tube to take and what stop to get off at.

The room was not spacious and the shower was tiny. The location was great though and the breakfast delicious!

That the bathrooms are tiny and that breakfast is only served form 0800 to 0930

I would like to comment on a few things about my stay. I requested a twin room on my booking form and received a double. When I notified reception they said they would get somebody to sort it, but it never happened. This was fine as we only stayed a couple of nights. Reception telephoned me on the night before departure to see if I wanted to settle my bill, which I thought was abit unusual considering they had my credit card number on booking. I don't think I would stay there again or recommend it to anymore.

When I paid by cash the receptionist did not offer my 5% discount automatically - I had to ask whether or not the discount applied.

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

the room was quite small, so the bathroom was. But it was pretty acceptable for that price. It is a very well situated hotel. Semi-skimmed milk would have been great!
