Very welcoming. David, the owner, was on-site and made us welcome immediately. ... The main features of the Lime Tree are the wonderful ownership and staff, coupled with the superb location. It's also good value for the money. ... Family ownned, with David and his daughter Charlotte on site and welcoming us on check-in. David very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. ... Best value in Belgravia.

I had requested accomodation for an extra night ( Oct. 22 ) and while Lime Tree was not able to accomodate us for that night, arrangements were kindly made for us to stay in a hotel just across the street which , although pleasant, was quite high up .When we checked in at Lime Tree (Oct 23)I explained that my husband had recently been ill and the owner was extremely kind and helpful with the luggage and put us in a room on a lower floor to avoid stress. ... We would have liked to have had a more spacious room - and appreciate the fact that we now know the room numbers to request on our next stay. My one additional comment would be that it would have been nice if there had been a sitting room area adjacent to the dining room - but I realize that there is probably no space for this. ... We appreciatd the fact that we were able to leave our luggage in a locked area from check out time until we were to be picked up to go the airport. ... The standard room that we occupied - 15 - was charming but VERY SMALL. ... Clean, nicely decorated room with charm. Good breakfast very pleasantly served - ample refills of tea, coffee , toast. Very friendly atmosphere. Excellent location - restaurants recommended by Lime Tree were very good and reasonably priced.

A lovely little bed and breakfast spot in a really great location. There are shops, nice restaurants, bus and train station very nearby. The staff and owners were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was tasty and filling. The only tough thing was our room was on the 4th floor and we had 3 heavy bags to carry up and down (no lift). The room was a little small, but it had all the amenities. The room was cute, quiet, very clean and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable. It is close to many sights and I would highly recommend it to any of my friends. I loved my stay, had a great time there, and plan to stay there again if I return to London. Thanks for the great visit to London!

Check-in at the Lime Tree Hotel was swift and painless. They were waiting for me. ... The staff was very good. If I did not show up for the complimentary continental breakfast they would call to see if I was coming. I thought that was a nice touch. They were also very helpful giving directions and suggestions about what to see. This is a very nice facility. ... I had a single room and it was small - but it was comfortable, quiet, clean. They provided brochures, would make reservations for tours, had a great list of nearby restaurants in varied price ranges and cuisines. This is a great location. ... Small, quiet, helpful, neat and clean, centrally located and tastefully appointed.

people at the hotel were really nice and polite. The room was not as expected in the pictures! The bathroom was really minimal. I hope it was not beause we were just girls and I hope next time to have a nicer room! Anyway, the stay was really good. ... Very nice and tipical. People polite and fun! The only concern was the room too much small for 3 people.

Roger Davies and his charming daughter Charlotte made me feel like a guest, not a boarder. In addition to the normally expected concierge assistance, Roger fixed my broken suitcase! I would definitely return and would recommend the Lime Tree to other travelers (though not to those who don't like climbing stairs). ... I found I needed an additional night but was unable to get it because the Lime Tree was fully booked. However, the staff referred me to a place just across the street which was not as nice, but made an easy move for me. ... Can't think of anything. ... Excellent value, lovely breakfast room, adored my roomy old fashioned bathroom. Got a peek into a few of the other rooms and they looked nice too. (All are different but if you say what your needs are, the staff will do their best to comply.)

The hotel is very conveniently located, the staff was exceedingly accomodating and the rooms were very comfortable. We had a triple and tho not as spacious as a hotel room in the US (my main point of reference), it was plenty big enough for the 3 of us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Lime Tree to others or return there if I am ever back in London.

WE ENJOYED OUR STAY WITH THE LIME TREE B&B. THE FAMILY AND STAFF WERE GREAT! THE ONLY COMMENT I WOULD HAVE FOR FUTURE GUESTS IS TO LET THEM KNOW THERE A MANY STAIRS AND NO ELEVATOR (LIFT)! ONE OF THE COUPLES IN OUR GROUP IS OLDER AND HAD GREAT DIFFICULTY GETTING UP THE STAIRS! ... THE PICTURES ON THE WEB SIGHT WERE UNDOUBTEDLY TAKEN SOME TIME AGO. ALTHOUGH THE PICTURES DEPICTED A MUCH NEWER LOOKING DECOR, WE THOURGHLY ENJOYED OUR STAY!!! ... INCLUDE THE STAIRS AND NO LIFT!!!! ... THE LIME TREE WAS A QUAINT AND CHARMING B&B. THE FAMILY AND STAFF WERE EFFICIENT AND FRIENDLY. ALSO, INFORM THOSE AMERICANS TRAVELING IN EUROPE FOR THE FIRST TIME TO BRING THEIR OWN FACE CLOTHS!!!

The standard double room (at least the one we stayed in for one night) was cramped and dark, and I thought not quite worth the price.
The superior double room that we upgraded to was much more spacious, more windows (so brighter). While it was more expenseive, it was acceptable for the price. ... For American tourists, it would be helpful to know that they don't provide wash cloths (face flannels), as is standard in U.S. hotels.
If you ask, they will sell you one, but they don't volunteer this information. ... Very well located and convenient to Victoria Station and many of the major sights. The room was quiet, and the staff were all pleasant and helpful.

The surroundings of the hotel are very familiar to us because we have lived in the past almost next door over four years. ... Very well managed place with friendly staff. Breakfast was very good. ... Taking the location and good connections from there to any part of London, we could save money by not using taxis. London is in any case very expensive city, which we naturally knew in advance. ... None, other than what I wrote above about connections. ... Yes, no problem at all.

Arrival itself was fine but we made it very difficult, unfortunately, for the staff at Lime Tree to accomodate us since we ended up staying all week. In their effort to enable us to stay in the same room all week, we found ourselves booked in a 2nd (really 3rd) floor room and this was extremely difficult for us (one partner being 82 years old. I know they were trying to help but it probably would have been better to keep moving us to lower floors. ... We happened to be there during the warmest, should say hottest week of the summer. With no air conditioning and on the upper floor it was very difficult. Still, I would stay there again but only if I could book a lower floor room. ... I think they should indicate to older clients that uppper floor accomodations are quite difficult and especially, in the summer, try to warn clients about the air conditioning situation. At least, they would know that they were warned and it would be fairer to all. ... Great location, friendly and helpful staff, but not so good a place to stay during a warm summer.

Staff were friendly, the room was clean (though it was small like all other hotels in London), and English breakfast was very good! ... At this rate, rooms should be more spacious. It's about not only this hotel, but also all hotels in London. ... You can choose full or continental English breakfast. There is no elevator. ... The directions to the hotel were not specific, so I e-mailed the hotel ahead and received better directions. Our experience at Lime Tree was wonderful - they weren't able to provide a triple room for our last night so gave us 2 rooms at the same price! The staff of the hotel was wonderful - the breakfast atmosphere was the best of all the places we stayed on our trip - very lively and friendly - we would stay there again! We also stayed at the Hotel Botineik (Brugges, Belgium) and The Langorf (Hampstead, London) and would be glad to give you feedback on those hotels as well - not quite as positive as Lime Tree, however, not terrible either. Thanks. ... The rooms were quite a bit smaller than it appeared on the website. It would have been nice to have more room, but it was enjoyable despite the cramped quarters. ... The location is great and central - the staff is extremely friendly and helpful and available at all hours. ... A very cute, British, B&B - rooms are quite small, but decorated nicely. Breakfast is wonderful with the friendly, helpful, chatty atmosphere created by the staff. A great location and a good place to stay.

Nice hotel in a great location. Within 15 - 20 minutes of many attractions. Staff was very helpful in getting us oriented the first day. They made a number of suggestions about shopping and sightseeing that turned out to be highlights for us. We stayed in the room with 4 single beds. It was adequate in size - but no more than that. Not a room to relax in - the only seating was on the beds. The hotel was comfortable, breakfasts were good. Would stay there again.

Very friendly and helpful in providing answers to questions asked ... we booked a double room for one night and then a single only for the next two nights. Lime Tree Hotel let me stay in the double room at the single rate for those two nights rather than move me and my belongings. I found this very accommodating. ... Helpful in any way. Suggesting that I ask for accommodation on the ground floor next time to save me at my advancing age to carry my luggage upstairs. ... Perhaps that luggage has to be carried up stairs - numerous and narrow, building has three floors - by the guests ... I would recommend it except for no help in carrying up luggage steep and narrow stairs

I got a good impression there. ... The dinning room which is facing to the garden was very nice, but unfortunately I had to leave there early in the morning so I could not taste the meal. I would like to stay there longer in next time. The room was spacious enough and confortable. The interior of the bath room was new and clean. ... The receptionist kindly called a taxi for me on the road. It was very helpful for me. That was last day for me in UK this time, so I could have a good impression there. I thank him very much. ... I tried to connect to internet using room telephone there and I could not connect. I had not enough time to ask reception about this. When I connect my computor, I did not hear usual telephone tone. It seems they are using special telephone system. I could use usual telephone call. Please include internet avilability / posibility of connection to the net.
