 The Cellars Bar: The Cellars Bar is located on the basement level and accessible from either The Winter Garden or Great Central Street. This beautiful bar was formerly the billiards room of The Great Central Hotel and retains many of the original architectural features which give it its unique style. The re-stained wood panelling, fabulous carved Adam-style fireplace and intricate plasterwork ceiling create an inviting and warm atmosphere. The Cellars Bar offers a choice of tradititional English fare and light snacks at lunchtime and an array of appetisers during the evening, all at reasonable prices. The bar serves a range of beers, spirits and a wide variety of wines sold by the glass from the hotel's excellent wine cellar. Open Monday to Friday from 11:30 am to 11:00 pm and Saturday from 5:30 pm to 11:00 pm. |
