I knew were the hotel was located and did not need any directions ... The hotel uses mattress pads that are VERY thin. THE BOTTOM OF THE MATTRESS PAD WAS MADE OF PLASTIC. Since the room was very hot, in effect we were sleeping on a plastic sheet! Woke up in the night with my back and buttocks completely drenched with perspiration!

Would recommend Kensington Gardens Hotel to everyone ... Staff were exceedingly helpful regarding the storage of suitcases whilst awaiting our departure ... Not sure if this is on Website, but a choice of Cooked Breakfasts is available at a very reasonable cost ... Because it was very efficient, easy to use, and helpful ... Very clean, friendly, and comfortable, both in accommodation and staff

Location and rates are very attractive. The accommodations, however, correspond accurately with the price. Having said that, I admit that the location and rates influenced greatly my decision. Volenti non fit iniuria. ... Very prompt, effective and convenient. ... I am not sure, but I think I expected an elevator to be present in the building. ... Nice, quiet and inexpensive place to stay in London.

Overall comments: We were SO happy with this experience. Staff was VERY friendly, accommodating and incredibly kind. Having just come from a 4 star resort in the Midlands we found the service at Kensington Gardens far superior!!! Thanks so much! ... Our heavy bags were carried by the staff to the cab they had called for us - and she had called a number of cab services to get us the best price. She was a gem! ... More than anything you could ask for at a great price. Highly recommend it!

The staff, especially the receptionist was very nice and helpfull and did even help with private things I wanted to know. The manager of the hotel was not that nice and when I´ve tried to talk to him once he was very impolite. ... I did have luck and got a double with a bath which was very nice! ... Nice, and it would be even nicer if it would have a lift (it is not so good if you have to climb three floors with all your laguage! and nobody is helping you)

I unfortunately misplaced my theatre tickets and receit/reference number, the front desk was extremely helpful. She called the theatre for me at least twice and found out what I needed to do get replacement tickets.

About the only thing I can think of, was that the shower was not operating and had to take a bath instead, not really a problem. ... I would certainly recommend it to a friend. good location, friendly staff, clean room; just about exactly as advertised. My wife and I always enjoy staying in a small, old hotel, and the Kensington Gardens is certainly that. We really enjoyed our stay, the neighborhood was quiet and a yet close to dining places and transportation.

The staff at Kensington Gardens Hotel were quite delightful. The lady who welcomed us, was extremely caring, especially when we arrived back at the hotel for our second visit. I would not hesitate in staying there if I visit London again, and I would not hesitate in using the WorldBy.Com website. Your website was a very east to use and a most efficient method of booking accommodation. ... Although I would stay at Kensington Gardens again, I would not describe the property as newly reburbished. However, the staff certainly made up for the fact that the rooms were somewhat tatty. ... The receptionist was very happy or organise a mini cab for us. ... The correct state of the rooms. We stayed in two rooms, and both were a bit shabby. ie. peeling wall paper and mouldy curtains. ... Despite what I have just stated in question 15, I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to a friend.

more than four flights of stairs ... Price stated was inclusive of bed & breakfast. The breakfast was a let down. Stale croissants, no yoghurts and very little choice in cold meat & cheese. ... Good location, competitive price, forget about breakfast.

Kensington Gardens Square is large; we had a somewhat difficult time in finding the exact location of the hotel on the square. We checked in and reception was excellent, but we found that the hotel has no lift, not good for us because we are both over 70 yrs old. We only stayed one night; the next morning, staff was able to book us into the Phoenix Hotel, almost next door to the east. ... I don't remember your description on the web site. This is a fine small hotel. It just didn't meet our particular needs. ... Receptionist extremely helpful; even helped us carry some of our bags up to the second floor. ... Does not have a lift; this should be made very clear to prospective guests. ... A very pleasant, small hotel on a pretty square and very convenient to bus stop, underground stations, and lots of shopping and restaurants on Queensway.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Quiet and peaceful hotel. ... Quaint, peaceful, quiet. A little out of the way for some major attractions, but this is a good thing if you wish to be far from the hustle and bustle of a very busy city.
