  • At what time can we check-in and out?
    All accommodations, Check In from 2pm, Check Out before midday.
  • Is the price per room/apartment or per person?
    Prices are per room/apartment per night.
  • Is breakfast included in the price and what type of breakfast?
    No breakfast is not included but we do offer a full buffet breakfast.
  • Can we settle the bill on arrival?
    Guests may pay for their accommodation on arrival if they wish and then settle their extras on departure.
  • Which languages are spoken at the reception?
    English, of course, but we have staff who speak Portuguese, German and French.
  • How many floors are there in the building and do you have an elevator (lift) in the building?
    The John Howard Hotel has 7 floors with 2 lifts.
  • Are there quiet, private, romantic rooms?
    Our Junior Suites would be most suitable for a romantic getaway. They consist of a king sized bed and a sitting area in one large room.
  • Do the rooms/apartments have a terrace/courtyard?
    A few rooms only.
  • Do the rooms/apartments have a balcony?
    A few rooms only.
  • Do you have non smoking rooms/apartments?
    Yes.
  • Is there a TV in the rooms/apartments? Are there international channels (satellite or cable TV)?
    Yes.
  • Is there a telephone with direct dialling in the rooms/apartments?
    Yes.
  • Is there air conditioning in the rooms/apartments? Is there any extra charge for this? Is it seasonal?
    Yes, there is air-conditioning in all the rooms, except in the apartments. There is no extra charge for this.
  • Do you have an Internet/E-Mail point in the Property?
    We have internet access in the lobby for the guests where they are charged according to how long they use it.
  • Is there a swimming pool? When is it open?
    Can use the pool at a nearby sports centre, where they would pay for the facilities.
  • Is parking or garage available?
    Pay car park nearby and meter parking outside the hotel.
  • Where can we rent a car?
    Ask the reception desk and they would be able to arrange it for you.
  • Which is the nearest airport?
    London City 10 miles (16.1 km).
  • Do you have a pickup or shuttle service from and to the airport?
    Can be arranged at a cost.
  • Which is the nearest bus-stop?
    Queens Gate, Gloucester Road, or Kensington High Street.
  • Which is the nearest railway station?
    Paddington Railway Station 1.1 miles (1.8 km).
  • Which is the nearest / how far away is / how do we arrive from the underground / subway stop?
    Gloucester Road Underground Station is the closest. It is about a 10 minutes walk.
  • Is there a fitness center in the Property (Gym, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Turkish bath...)?
    No.
  • Are pets welcome?
    No.
  • Is there a restaurant in the Property?
    Yes, our restaurant is open for breakfasts and dinners. It is closed for lunch and Sunday evenings.
  • Can I connect my modem so that I can surf the Internet from my room/apartment?
    Yes.
