the hotel were unaware of our booking and we were kept waiting for about 15 minites before being shown to our room

again the staff were unaware that breakfast was included in our price

very clean and friendly. would certainly recommend the hotel to friends

Except the fact that it took the receptionist a few minutes to find my booking in his records, almost every thing was qualitative.
A couple of things to notice :
I've ask the receptionist to close a useless sofa bed in my room, I am still waiting...

The main elevator was out of order (renovation ongoing) but a very small elevator usually dedicated to service was available.
The internet access through the TV set was not working.
In the bathroom, we could expect larger shelf

Nice traditional London house, Clean, comfortable, well located in London (quite central and close to efficient public transports).

Room not really sound proof: heard conversation in next room.

Water pressure low - flow is weak. Hot water supply very slow - takes long time to warm up. Room Temperature adjustment not user friendly: always too warm or too cold and rather noisy.

A very convenient location. Very good for value. Breakfast was OK and service good.

It was nice that we could deposit our bags in the morning and check in already although we actually got the room starting at 2 p.m.
A better description of the directions to get there would be helpful. We wandered about a bit before finding the street/hotel.

As a lovely old terraced house that has been tastefully converted into a four-star hotel, and that it is situated centrally and in a quiet area of London.

Next time I would choose a hotel with less stars at the same price. Felt a little bit like 2nd class guest (very small room, part of the breakfast buffet not included, staff not always friendly)

I did not appreciate having to wait 10 minutes to deposit my luggage at behind the counter at left luggage while a hotel employee was standing RIGHT THERE! However since she wasn't the porter apparently she couldn't help me. It was infuriating.

Most hotels, but NOT this one can accomodate you if you arrive a little early. This one sends you out.

The rooms were TINY. The hotel staff were friendly when they aknowledged your existance but it wasn't always easy to do. My room was light all the time because it looked in on the courtyard and there was no way to turn off the light.

I got a very narrow room in the basement.
As a consequence I will not request that hotel anymore.

The should say that they have very cheap rooms in the basement that are between hotel rooms and rooms in a prison and that one has to pay more to stay out of those.

The room was very small but all the facilities were top quality and very clean. I would recommend the hotel to a friend.

and there was a lot of overnight traffic noise---- windows were only 'single glazed'

The room was tiny and very crampt for 4 people. The bed sheets had dried blood on them and had holes in them.
The room safe was not working and was removed for repair but not replaced. The bathroom was too small with a very poor shower.

You need more than one staff capable of checking out guests

Size of quad rooms - it was a joke.
