Accommodations

All 23 bedrooms at Hazlitt's are named after 18th and early 19th residents or visitors to the house. Our rooms are traditional, with the original panelled walls and mellow, unpretentious old furniture, pictures and rugs.

We occupy
three historic houses in Frith Street, by Soho Square. When these were built in 1718 there were no elevators. There still aren't, but we have updated the plumbing, installed bathrooms and replaced most of the candles with electricity.

The Baron Willoughby's Suite:
a ground floor suite comprising entrance hall, sitting room with two huge floor to ceiling windows, fireplace, comfortable sofa seating and a work area. Double doors lead into the bedroom which is dominated by a four-poster bed dating from 1830. The bathroom is perfectly restored with original panelling, a Victorian free-standing cast-iron bath and period pull chain cistern.

Double Rooms: the hotel has 19 rooms for single or double occupancy which because of the age of the buildings are all different in shape and size. Each is individually furnished with 18th century antiques and fine pictures & prints. The beds are all carved oak or four-poster and the bedlinen is of the finest quality Egyptian cotton. Many of bathrooms feature fireplaces complete with the original iron cooking ranges (now for display rather than practical use!).

Single Rooms: the hotel has only 3 single rooms which all have small double beds. Each room is individually furnished with period antiques and artwork. All rooms feature: mini-bar, in-room safe, hairdryer, bathrobe, modem point, digital phone line. Many rooms also have air-conditioning.
