This hotel was exceptionally clean and very quiet. The service we received was impecciable and myself and Ms Bryan cannot fault it. I work for the NHS and was talking to my manager re the hotel and she would like to keep the details so if any staff go to London overnight they can stay there.

the bedroom was clean and well presented but very very small. we were there for a few nights and it was very tight with 2 people in the room. it really was a small single bedroom size.

Since i arrive very late at night after 12:00 o'clock, i had to ring and ring the bell for more than 10-15 minutes till somebody to wake up and let in

While anticipated (by me), it might be helpful to indicate the extent to which the lack of an elevator/lift might be a significant difficulty to some guests.

We arrived at 10am (we had thought we would ask if we could leave our bags at reception until check-in later in the day) but our room was ready and we were able to check in immediately. We were very pleased!

The website mentions that the rooms have recently been decorated and furnished, but prospective guests should know that this is evidently *very* recent, as the decor is modern and attractive and the bed extremely comfortable (like new!).

The location of the hotel is excellent - the Baker Street tube station (served by 5 underground lines) is just a few minutes walk and bus stops are close by too. The hotel is clean and quiet with modern decor. The staff are incredibly friendly and the breakfast was excellent (cooked to order). We did have to walk up to our room on the top floor (+- 4 flights of stairs), but there aren't too many steps. We had a great stay.

Quite frankly we didn't know what expect on our arrival -- short of the description of your hotel on your website. But that description was 'letter perfect' -- even more so.
From the very moment we stepped through your front door, we were treated with a warm welcome, immaculate and most suitable accommodations.
We learned, the following morning, that each of our days in London would begin with a sumptuous breakfast in a most comfortable dining room served by a most friendly staff.
When we returned to our rooms at the end of each day, we found, once again, perfection in the way the room was cleaned and the beds freshly prepared for another good night of sleep.
I could go on, but I believe you get the gist of our visit to the Hart House Hotel -- exceptional, 5-star, most highly recommended.
Thanks, again, for helping make our London visit memorable.

The host was very gracious and carried our large suitcases up the stairs to the second floor.

not quite, the web site was accurate on the services provided,
I was worried a little about the staff, but this feeling was over immediately after my arrival, every person I met was very friendly and polite. this is very important for me.
Now I know where to stay when I come to London again

WE come to London every year. We were so pleased by Hart House that we will come back again. The Hotel itself was very clean, lovely room and neighborhood. Had the breakfast every morning and enjoyed every bite. This was a very pleasant surprise for us.

This is a hotel I can recommend to my friends. It is a small and quiet hotell, with a real breakfast, with easy bus and tube connections to most of London. The best rooms have windows facing the back yard.

We've been to London several times and have never been happy with our accommodations in the past. We liked Hart House Hotel very much and would definitely stay there again.

Small, delightful hotel, extremely clean, very nicely appointed with large (for London) rooms. The staff were very helpful and personable and the full English breakfast was a real plus and a great start to each day.

Between the high prices of London accommodation and the value of the dollar, I don't think there are any hotels I would consider good value. But Hart House was appropriately priced.

We were surprised by our accommodations. Eventhough we got the type of room that we asked for. We didn't realize that it was going to be on the thrid floor. Also, the room was clean and the staff was nice but, the bed was absoutly terrible. The breakfast was less than fair. To be honest for the price paid for the room we thought it would be far better than it was. And if having the chance to go back to London we would not stay at the Hart House.

I did not know I would be on the very top floor without an elevator (I am sixty). All the room prices were the same regardless of location.

The only thing that surprised me was that the sheets were not changed every day. I thought all hotels changed the bed linen every day.

I think it is important to state that there is no elevator in this hotel. It is definitely only for the agile.
Lugging a heavy suitcase up four flights of stairs is not easy for most people.
We also have to descend one flight of stairs to go the the breakfast room.
People really should know that before they book.

I would recommend the hotel. It is neat, clean, well located (we walked to alot of the places we were interested in), and it is relatively good value for the money.
But I would make sure the people I recommend the hotel to are agile enough to take all the stairs.

I would say that it was nice and clean, but relatively expensive. Most of my friends would probably opt for something cheaper -- but we splurged, it was our honeymoon. Unfortunately, we could not afford to stay there again, most likely. ~150 us dollars for one night in a hotel room is pretty expensive.

Breakfast was a little disappointing. There was no choice of tea and it was frankly disgusting. We did not have cereal to start with, but those guests who did, did not have a chance to finish that before having their cooked breakfast thrust in front of them. The breakfast was alright but bland. If you did not want the cooked breakfast, there was an unappetising range of alternatives.
