we were gratefully met let at night by a
hired car recommended by the egerton staff.
upon our arrival at the hotel, the gratious
staff brought us tea, sherry and biscuits as
they saw our need for a bit of comfort after
the long trip. what a wonderful way to begin
our trip to england.

our expectations. i have never experienced
such courteous, gratious, friendly,
informative, and genuine staff at a hotel
before. and what a charming, gem of a hotel
it is too.

I arived a two or three hours prior to check-in and my room was ready. The staff greeted my by name and was courteous and effective every time I asked for assistance.

I stayed in two different rooms. One I booked through this site and then returned five days later to stay a single night before my return home. The property was so nice I decided to stay there one more time before I left Europe.

On the day of my departure, I needed a courrier to deliver an item out in the English countryside. This was arranged through the hotel without any delay and the item was delivered before I left for the airport at 17:00. I was also allowed to stay and have afternoon tea prior to my departure.

This is an exceptionaly lovely property and the staff is excellent. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I will stay here again when I am in London and would recommend it highly to any of my friends.

I would have liked to be able to lock the room from the inside, so as to prevent any staff from trying to enter while I was in the room during the day.

The room was indeed a large double room but the problem was that is was facing the mews and it was extremely noisy during the night. I had stayed before in the egerton house in a different room and there was no noise whatsoever. The noise came from people drinking out and the truck lorries and traffic in the morning. That was really the only inconveniency of out stay.
