For a sight seeing of London it is a good hotel, located in Paddington. The price and the serveces are fair value for money. In case of a new trip to London we choose again this hotel. Best regards, Pal Horvath from Budapest Hungary

Spaciousness of the the first room 307 was very cramped for 2. Nice bathroom.
Moved t0 306. More space, but bathroom very small.
Safe broken in 306. ... Nice and central with good access to Heathrow Express. Paddington a good station to be near - easy to get anywhere required. Nice area with adequate restaurants, pubs and shops in the area. Rooms are adequate and kept very clean. Continental breakfast was very good.

The reception of the hotel is classy and cheerful. You can inspire the sense of art and feel the courtesy and hospitality once you arrive. ... The staff is willing to provide any touristic information and prochures available. The quality of breakfast is distinct. ... The location of the hotel and the presence of the luggage room where I could store my suite cases after check-out, anabled me to go on walking tours for souvenier shopping, then I returned back very easily to pick up my luggage from the hotel. This made our last day really fun. The receptionist is ready all the time to call a cap whenever we were ready to leave. ... -Overlooking a fascinating scene. -Close to dinning and shopping area ... The most relaxing and woderful place for staying in London, suitable for vacation and business trips, due its location, quietness. I would'nt think of a better accomodation if I were to go to London again.

The room was not quiet, could have done with double glazing and better equiped curtains.

Nice hotel, the rooms and the bathrooms are a little bit small but nice and clean. Continental breakfast very good. Nice area with restaurants, pubs and shop and from Paddington station you can easily get anywhere.

The location could not have been better! Only two minutes to Paddington Station which, I guess, makes up for the tiny room. But, then again, when in London one does not spend a lot of time in the hotel room. And the beds were comfy and the bedroom warm (the bathroom freezing, however) so we got all the sleep we needed! Would definitely consider staying there again!

we arrived early in London and had to wait a long time till 2.00 PM. Check-in time should be earlier.
... Very small bedroom, and no cleaning at all on the second day.
Bedrooms and bathrooms shown on the web side look more spacious.
Very good breakfast! ... Very good position (better than expected). Possibility to leave luggage before check-in and after check-out (I think it's not indicated on the web site).

I liked my stay, but the building is quite old. ... As a cheap (for London) nice hotel.

I have been surprised when we came back at the hotel on the 2nd day that our room was not cleaned and our bed not mad.
The blankets are very thin and so it wasn't very warm during the nights in the bed.

I was quite happy with the service and the staff and general cleanliness, it was the size and layout of the room that annoyed me, two single beds back to back with barely enough space between them and the wall fittings, the t.v. was spaced in a position on the wall which made it impossible to watch without developing neck strain

I get a very small room with a king size single bed instead of a double bed, there was no space even to sted up in the room, or a place big enough to put our laggages...definitly bad! it was not a double room, it was a single room, with the bathroom so small it was impossible to close the door with a person in. ... It could have been 'very good value for money' if the room was big like in the hotel descriptions ... the internet access is in the hall and not in the rooms, there is a sky-tv but only with 4 channels. ... It's good, clean and quite cheap... but if you go there, be sure they don't reserve the closet for you!!!

We got room 508, or I don't know if I will call that a room. It's four walls with a bred, not att all like the photos on internet, and not all worth paying ordinary price for. The nightreceptionist just laughed at us when we asked for another room. Luckey, we could change room the morning after, or we had checked out. Daytime the staff was very polite. ... Good location andg nice place if you get the right room.

Complicate, unpolite people at the check in.
... I've been around 30 times in London for now - compared to other hotels in this price category the Edward Hotel... ...has typical (small) rooms with zero-comfort (bathroom) ...has a fine breakfast buffet ...has some people of the whole staff doing a good job ... try to find an alternative;)

Bathrooms need to be up-dated. Location was great. I specifically aksed for a room with 2 beds - when I checked in I was given one double bed. I had to show the front desk clerk my confirmation paper to get the two beds. Front desk clerk was borderline polite - he did not seem very interested in good customer service. Not rude, just not interested or engaged. Room was VERY small, bed spread seemed 'dusty', view was lousy (fire escape). ... We checked out at 0530am - the desk clerk was sleeping but woke up when we came out of the elevator. ... You get what you pay for - I guess that's what a 2 STAR hotel is all about. Bathrooms are VERY outdated. Great location. Small rooms.

they let us wait more than 1 hour to check in.It was almost 1 pm and i think the room was ready but they said to us to wait till 2. maybe they had only one house keeper for the whole hotel otherwise there were no reason to let us wait. when finally i check in they gave us a twin room istead a double,so i had to go to the reception and ask for to change the room, wasting another 15 minutes ... the check out was at 11 but an house keeper knocked the door at 10 30 asking if we were ready to check out disturbing our privacy ... employ more professional staff ... dont expect too much

We were grateful at being allowed to leave our baggage in the hotel until 7pm on day of checkout. ... The Edward Hotel was warm, comfortable and welcoming. The bedroom was small but adequate for a short stay. Our only criticism is of the bathroom which was not well fitted having no shelf or storage space whatever. The location of the hotel is very good, beside the underground and within walking distance of Hyde Park and Oxford Street.

Very nice, we are given early check in without trouble. ... The facilities were old and kind of run down, the extractor of the shower room was noisy, we complained and the hotel didn't anything to make it better. ... It was very easy and relax. ... There are nice cafes, restaurant, supermarkets and pubs nearby, very convienent. To arrive by underground, you must use the district or circle line, otherwise it is a long walk. ... Good for value, nice area, a little inconvenient compare to other areas of London such as Earls Court.

Top floors seem to have very low water pressure - quite a pain.

as we arrived at 3am the guy at the hotel was a little tired as well, but still very friendly. ... question 7 - did not check that one, but i guess yes
question 8: i do not expect more from a room in thi area than a bed, some space to drop your bags and a tiny bathroom - been to london 6 times now. the only really bad thing - but that's luck / no luck - the room had windows to the street, so there was like 2-3 hours sleep every night which made the entire trip feel like a very long day - not good if you ask me. ... question 13: but this is normal - in my hometown vienna i get bigger, more luxury rooms for a lower rate... but that's simply london. that's every hotel i know in london. ... afaik it was not stated they have wifi-internet ... a typical 'low-budget' traveller accomodation. bathroom, bed, some space, not new, not luxury, but not bad and not dirty. as we only stay there for sleeping it'S ok - unless your room has windows to the street...
good location / travel times to center/tourist places for a fair rate in this area.

We arrived at 09h30 so we appreciated that I could leave my laggage until check in time. ... THis was my first time coming to London so I have no frame of reference. Small but acceptable room. We had more cold showers that hot. ... Very conveniently situated. Not for staying in during the day as the television reception is very poor. Reasonably priced.

We were very disapointed with the room. it appeared to be a single room with a double bed in it. there was only about 12' walkroom at the side of the bed - this was only at the top of the bed because there was a dressing unit at the bottom half of the bed. there was about an inch between this and the bed.
It was only possible for one of us to stand at any time.
When i asked at reception about changing rooms we were informed that we could not move until the following morning. ... We had to leave the hotel earlier than expected - after only one night. Staff were very helpful, and there was no problem with us having a refund for the following 2 nights.
