 Reception: Our family has managed the Crescent Hotel since 1956. Aldo & Felicina Bessolo started the Hotel and their daughter, Rita Cockle, is continuing it. The Hotel has been commended and recommended by many of its guests. This is because we pay detailed attention to the essence of hospitality, thorough housekeeping, well-cooked food, an attractive ambience and helping our guests to get the most from their stay. |
 So today, we find that we are baby-sitting the grandchildren of our earliest guests and receiving full professors that first stayed as students. Ask the reception to book theatre, cars, trips for you (besides English we often have staff present who can speak French, Italian and Spanish). Additional facilities include baby listening service (subject to personnel availability), baby cots and high chairs, safety deposit boxes, ironing, hair dryers and curling tongs. |
 Ground floor rooms available but no lift to upper floors. If you have special needs please discuss them with our staff before booking. We always do our best. Unfortunately stairs figure prominently in an eighteenth century building and we do not have a lift. Though we do not offer room service, breakfast trays can be provided. Guide dogs are welcome. |
 Breakfast: Rich and hearty, we serve continental or full English breakfast. It consists of a choice of cereals, a selection of yoghurt, hot porridge, eggs: scrambled, poached, boiled or fried, smoked or plain bacon, English sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans. Brown or white toast, tea, coffee and orange juice. As you can see you will be spoilt for choice! |
 Lounge room: We serve teas, coffees, soft drinks and light snacks in the lounge to guests. The lounge, which overlooks the gardens, provides an ideal place to meet your friends, read newspapers or browse the wide range of tourist information. Free access to internet. |
 Parking: If you are driving to us, you should know that you may park overnight outside the hotel on weekdays from 6:30pm to 8:30am. On Saturday the period is 1:30pm to 8:30am on Monday morning - so no restrictions on Sunday. There are various car parks in the vicinity. |

| If you are booking theatres, sporting events or travel you may ask that the tickets are sent in your name c/o The Crescent Hotel. We will keep them for your arrival. Within close proximity there are the British Museum, Percival David Foundation of Chinese Art, Dicken's House Museum, Sir John Soane's Museum, Wellcome Institute for the History of Medicine and Pollocks Museum (Toy Theatre). As a result of the concentration of academic, medical and legal institutions close to the hotel we attract many guests visiting the various colleges of the University of London, the Great Ormond St. Hospital for children, the Royal London homeopathic hospital and the Royal Courts of Justice. |
