Hyde Park: Hyde Park became a Royal Park in 1536 when King Henry VIII acquired the land, which he used for hunting. The two most famous features of the Park are the Serpentine, a lake much used for boating and swimming, and Rotten Row, the world famous riding track, which was the first public road to be lit at night in this country.

Kensington Palace: Kensington Palace has been home to some of Britain's most famous kings and queens and members of the Royal Family. Whilst parts of the palace remain a private residence for members of the Royal Family (including the late Diana, Princess of Wales), the State Apartments and Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection are open to the public.

Whiteley's Shopping Centre: Whiteleys is a luxury, modern, shopping centre. Situated in an Edwardian grandeur building. It offers almost anything -women's, men's and children's fashions, gifts, books, beauty products, fashion accessories, a wide range of international restaurants, an 8-screen multiplex cinema and a car park. The great marble 'La Scala' staircase not only links two of the four levels but also dominates the main atrium of this magnificently restored building.
