The exquisite interiors incorporate the work of acclaimed names from the world of British design such as Nina Campbell, and David Linley, nephew of Her Majesty The Queen. In inclement weather, a welcoming fire burns brightly in the open hearth of the front hall. |
The Sitting Room, where one may take morning coffee, afternoon tea and light meals, reflects a traditional country house setting, while the Eaton and Cadogan Rooms are set aside for private dining and business meetings. The Afternoon Tea is served daily in the sitting room between 3:30pm and 5:30pm. The perfect way to unwind, upon an extra cost. |
The Capital Restaurant: is currently the only London restaurant situated within a hotel to hold two coveted Michelin stars. Eric Chavot, the Head Chef, has a following across five continents. His innovative style of cooking is acclaimed by even the most discriminating of restaurant critics. Menus change frequently. Starters may include: wild asparagus and poached egg, dandelion and bacon salad; pumpkin risotto with chorizo, crab lasagne with langoustine carpuccio; warm salad of goat cheese with truffle dressing. |
Main courses on the à la carte menu include: lobster and slow cooked pork belly boudin blanc and black truffle emulsion; pot-roast pigeon, potato and bacon galette with mushrooms and truffle jus; fillet of sea bass 'nicoise'. Amongst the splendid wines selected for our wine list, we are proud to include wines from our very own winery 'The Levin Winery' situated in the Loire Valley, France. Levin Sauvignon Blanc, Levin Rose and Levin Gamay are now all available in the bar and restaurant. |
The Capital is always delighted to assist in the organisation of business meetings, receptions or private dining events. Carol De Juan, our dedicated private room co-ordinator ensures that all guests attending private functions will still enjoy the same exacting standards of service and cuisine as in The Capital Restaurant. |
Special Occasions: We aim to make every visit to The Capital special, however there are times when a little extra is required. Our private rooms provide an ideal setting for an intimate wedding breakfast, an anniversary dinner or a christening lunch. We can assist in creating bespoke menus, table gifts, flowers, sourcing vintage wines and our expert pastry chef can make the most wonderful cakes. Nothing is too much trouble. Our aim is to make your event one that all your guests will remember. The Cadogan Room is an excellent choice for up to 24 guests, whilst The Eaton Suite accommodates up to 14 guests. In the evening we can also seat up to 12 in our semi-private room.
At The Capital, service is paramount. Highly professional and dedicated staff take care of special requests and personal preferences, round the clock. Extremely well versed, they will also be delighted to answer your questions on London and its abundance of attractions. Clive Smith, the Head Concierge, is a mine of information and a miracle worker when it comes to procuring theatre tickets and admission to events, organising limousine hire, your flight arrangements, or simply advising on the purchase of last-minute gifts. Indeed, many a guest has entrusted Clive with their travel arrangements, entertainment and sporting fixtures, even if they are not staying at the hotel. |
