The Capital was created by its Scottish proprietor David Levin over 30 years ago and, to this day, it is a family-run hotel. Every piece of furniture, work of art and accoutrement is hand picked or, indeed, commissioned by the Levin family. Hence, it is the family's personally-chosen collection of original paintings which adorn the walls. The exquisite interiors incorporate the work of acclaimed names from the world of British design such as Nina Campbell, and David Linley, nephew of Her Majesty The Queen. There are 49 guest bedrooms in total, including 8 suites and 6 deluxe doubles. |
The criteria in their design was the creation of rooms of sublime comfort, with the emphasis on refined elegance. Fabrics for many rooms were selected from the Ralph Lauren collection, and each has its own special charm and character. All suites and double rooms have super-king sized beds. attresses are handmade and the sheets are of the finest Egyptian cotton, while consoles by each bed control radio, television and lighting. |
The magnificent marble bathrooms are equipped with well-proportioned baths and powerful showers. Even the bathrobes and toiletries reflect the attention which has been paid to every detail. All guest bedrooms have: Air conditioning with in-room controls, radio, plus television with satellite channels, hairdryer, mini bar, luxurious bathrobes and toiletries. Umbrella for use during your stay. |
