 The Grill
Renowned Maitre d'Angelo Maresca welcomes guests to The Grill, which serves exciting culinary experiences created by Executive Chef Laurence Glayzer (previously of the Savoy Grill, Harry's Bar, The Ritz and fresh from running his own Chateau in France) who produces a delicate balance of English fare and continental cuisine with a modern influence. Only the finest British produce is used with an emphasis on the seasons.
While the restaurant retains its clubby feel, there is a much brighter, more elegant ambience, thanks to lightened wood panelling, 1930s design features and banquette booths that provide both privacy and more space for diners. A full a la carte menu is offered, along with a daily main course choice of "old favourites", supplemented by a choice of specials served from the carving trolley. Gentlemen are requested to wear a jacket when dining in The Grill.
English Tea Room
Afternoon tea is synonymous with Brown's. Ever since James Brown established his hotel for 'genteel' folk over 160 years ago, afternoon tea in the hotel's English Tea Room has been a British institution.
Once again the English Tea Room is serving the best afternoon tea in London and preserves its famous discreet and elegant setting, with a choice of teas including Brown's own blend, finely cut sandwiches, freshly baked scones, Brown's famous home-made jams and clotted cream, and a selection of cakes and delicate pastries, all combined to make a wonderful and exquisite afternoon tea experience.
The Donovan Bar
Extended to include the former Library Restaurant area, the Donovan Bar serves a wide selection of champagnes by the glass and distinctive cocktails. Features include wooden floors, stained glass windows and contemporary furnishings with leather and tapestry fabrics. |
 Meetings
Brown's has new and improved conference and banqueting facilities, with all the up-to-date equipment that you may require. There are six function rooms, all offering natural daylight and boasting original features such as antique decorations and wood flooring, and have the capacity for cocktail receptions for up to 120 people, as well as a fully equipped Business Centre. Brown's Hotel is also ideal for those visiting London on business, as the hotel is only a short taxi ride from the City, Canary Wharf and London's central business district.

 The hotel is just minutes from the elegant designer stores of Bond Street, the art galleries of Cork Street and St James's, the vibrant theatres of the West End and the calm, open spaces of Green Park, not to mention the City and Knightsbridge, which are both a short taxi ride away.
Further along Albemarle Street, creative director Jade Jagger has injected youth and glamour into crown jewellers Garrard, while its sister Asprey (which is just around the corner in New Bond Street) has recently reopened to great acclaim. In addition, two of London's newest and most high-profile restaurants, Sketch and The Wolseley, are within walking distance of the hotel.
However, you will still find old favourites close at hand. Just a minute's stroll from Brown's is Piccadilly, where you'll find the Royal Academy of Arts and the internationally famous food emporium Fortnum & Mason, together with the exclusive shops of the charming Burlington Arcade. The world-famous galleries of St James's are to be found just south of Piccadilly.
Head west along Piccadilly and if you wander south through the lush expanse of Green Park, you will reach Buckingham Palace. A little further to the west is Hyde Park and the Serpentine Lake, plus the famous shopping area of Knightsbridge. Here, you will find Harvey Nichols and a feast of excellent, top-quality shops including, of course, the inimitable Harrods.
Eastwards along Piccadilly is vibrant Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square, the heart of London's theatreland, and beyond, to the north, Soho and Chinatown. A short walk further on brings you to Covent Garden with its opera house, restaurants and covered market. |
