But the room was very clean and functional.

The main asset of the hotel is the location: the Tube is just around the corner, and the hotel is a 15 minutes walk far from Westminster Abbey; the personnel of the hotel was polite and friendly. On the other hand, the room was very strict, in fact there was no facilities (bar, internet point, lift, laundry etc.); in fact there was no reception office at all: if you needed something you had to look around to find someone. For nearly half that price i've been in a hotel close to the inner city in Wien last year, that compared to this was a luxury accomodation. I suppose this depends from the high rates of a city so unique as London is, and from the change pound/euro: i had the impression that in that area was very difficult to find something better at the same price.
