The room, and the hotel in general was very small but its what you would expect for a London Hotel. It was very clean and the staff lady was very lovely and accommodating.

The bathroom was a little shabby. ... This was a comfortable guest house/bed and breakfast. It was not what I would describe as a hotel. The breakfast was good and the owner was friendly.

Only one negative remark: No Satelite TV programs, only 3-4 local TV programs...

The person who checked us in made several comments about safety issues in the neighborhood that made us a bit nervous. ... The hotel itself is fine and the staff is very nice. The problem is the neighborhood. Literally every other house on the block was for sale or let. It is a mix of immigrant and blue collar which is fine, but the latter makes for kind of a gritty feel (eg. broken whiskey bottles on the sidewalk, rough-ish young guys cat-calling to my 17-year old daughter as we came home from the theatre one night on the tube) I feel badly for the staff. It looks like a couple years ago the neighborhood had a different feel, but I wouldn't stay there again. ... The truth is that the low price should have alerted me to something amiss. The hotel looked really nice on-line though, so I just assumed it was a great deal. ... I really feel that the so-so 'working class' neighborhood should be included. ... Nice place, nice people, crummy neighborhood.
